Johnson Controls uses its annual meeting as a means to recognize its national sales leaders. For InSight, the challenge was to keep the audience engaged while the firm recognized a large number of individuals. Since the audience would consist of the entire sales team, the firm also wanted to use the occasion to encourage increased performance from everyone.

As a creative concept, InSight used art as a metaphor for selling. To visually illustrate this theme, InSight produced speaker support elements, stage props, the set design, and tabletop settings that were displayed throughout event. InSight also provided print support and script development services. The ceremony was divided into segments, each linked to one of four areas of artistic expression: Music, dance, theater and art. The connection between sales and art was highlighted by speaker support that was created with an evocative, artistic style. Awards recipients were compared to the historical masters in their respective fields. Finally, to maintain focus and to entertain the audience, local artists were engaged for short performances during transitions.
